Poodle Rescue
Heidi has rescued poodles for more than 25 years. She started as Sylvan Bark before taking over Red Rover Pet Services LLC. Following college graduation, she took in whole families of dogs from public housing and overwhelmed city shelters. Heidi frequently had 15 or more rescues at a time of all breeds and mixes.
After several years she specialized to poodles and their mixes to avoid total burnout. In 2023 she moved her pet care business home. The reduced space means fewer rescues so she focused on pure poodles of all sizes.
Dogs are updated on veterinary care, neutered, vaccinated, and made healthy. Our rescues receive training so they can flourish in their new home. During this time they are allowed to settle in at Red Rover. Becoming comfortable with Red Rover means they will have a safe place to return to for the rest of their lives, no matter what.
